Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2023’s first term would start on November 17. in 2021. CBSE Class X Examinations would be given in MCQ format during the term 1. They are required exams and every student would receive a Board Roll Number. A similar roll number could be used to take Term 2 exams which would be held in April and May. The Internal Assessment or the Practical exam will be held across all subjects. all marks from 50 would be awarded to students in the first term.
It is expected that the CBSE board exam scheduled for the 10th of next year won’t be split into two parts instead, there will be one final exam. The board also updated the syllabus. After conducting the 10th exam with a less rigorous syllabus for two years CBSE returns to the 100 percent syllabus. The board will return to a rationalised syllabus. It will also rationalise its syllabus again, with the help from experts.
Exams will be conducted at 80 marks. As from 2019, as much as 20 percent marks are awarded to practical or internal tests. The pattern will continue in the coming year as well. Students will benefit as they will have internal choices on the test. CBSE has stated in 2020 that they will offer up to 33 percent more choices in exams that are board-based.

Exams for Term 1 to be conducted offline by the board. The exam would be conducted in MCQ format lasting 90 minutes. The exam would comprise half of theoretical component. Thus, for example, in class 10 Science 70% is for the theory and 30% practical, so the Exam paper for Term 1 will be 35 marks, and so on.
Exams would start at 11:15 am, and would end at 12:30 at night on the day of test. Students will be allowed 20 minutes of reading time in addition to 90 minutes of paper time.

Exams for Term 1 are mandatory for all students. The marks obtained by students during the first term would be taken into consideration in the calculation of the the final CBSE Class 10 12 result 2023 in April and May.
