Steps to submit a BASAR IIIT application

Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Telangana-Basar has published a notification to admit students into its integrated BTech programs for the academic year 2023/23. Admission to the integrated BTech programs in the first year will be determined by the merit of the GPA and the grade in each subject taken in the 10th-class examinations. The RGUKT admitted last year students based on scores in the POLYCET, which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 85 percent of seats available are reserved for local candidates (Telangana). The remaining 15% of seats will be filled by students from both Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, based on merit. Online applications can be submitted starting June 30th, 2023. The last day to submit an application is July 15th. The last day for the university to receive applications for the special categories (PH/CAP/NCC/Sports), is July 19. On July 30, a provisional selection list is expected to be published. For more details, visit the website http://www.rgukt.ac.in/.

Eligibility for Basara IIIT admission:
Students who have passed the SSC or an equivalent examination (10th grade) in 2023 on their first attempt.
Age limit of 18 years (21 for SC/ST applicants)
Candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should have taken 10th class board exams to all categories of seats, except for Global category candidates.

Basara IIIT Admission Application Fee:
Candidates appearing in the 10th class do not have to pay any fees
For candidates from other states, Rs.1000.00 for global candidates.
Candidates for NRI/International US$: 25.00

Only online applications are accepted.
Only online payment is acceptable for the application fee.
Candidates who apply more than once will be considered.
After submitting an online application, applicants should immediately send a printed copy duly signed together with a copy the receipt mentioned above in 2(c), and any relevant certificates.

How do I submit an RGUKT BASARA IIIT Online Application 2023

10th class passed students who have appeared the Telangana POLYCET, can submit the TS RGUKT Online Application through Basara IIIT Admission web portal by using necessary documents along with required details at http://www.admissions.rgukt.ac.in/. Follow the simple steps below to apply.

Visit the TS RGUKT websiteStudents need to visit the official website of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies – Basar by entering web address http://www.rgukt.ac.in/ in your device browser. The TS RGUKT website should then be displayed on your device screen.
Click on the UG Admissions LinkAfter you have reached the RGUKT Telangana site, click the UG Admissions link at the top of the page. You will then be redirected directly to the BASARA admission web portal. (OR) Search the Student’s section of the homepage, then click Admission link to open the Admissions page. Click on the Apply Now button in the UG Admission section. The BASARA Admission web site will be displayed on your device.
Click on the Apply Now ButtonOnce you have visited the UG Admission Web Portal click on the Apply Now button under the UG Admissions. The 6-year integrated B.Tech program will then be available for you to apply.
Complete the Application FormFill out the Basara IIIT Application Form.
Submit Application FormOnce you have completed the application form completely, click the submit button. Your application will be submitted successfully.
Print the application formStudents can print and download the online application form after they submit it. Keep it safe for future reference.
Send the applicationAfter submitting an online application, the applicant must immediately send the printed copy duly signed to the above address.

Liste of certificates to be included:

Certified copies of the following certificates/documents should be sent along with the print out of the online application form submitted through TS Online Services:

The TS Online Services (see 2(c), above) / Fee Payment Recept.
Hall Ticket for 10th Class, or an equivalent, or TSPOLYCET Hall Tickets.
Study certificates from Fourth to Tenth classes/ Residence certificate for those who claim Local category (in any Osmania University area (Telangana State), (for more details, please see Annexure III).
Service certificate of parents/residence certificate for parents who are claiming the unreserved seat category (for more details, please see Annexure IV).
All persons claiming reservation in any of the above categories must provide proof of caste/community (SC/ST/BC), as per the prescribed proforma (for more details, see Annexure-V).
For those who claim reservation under this category, a Physically Handicapped Certificate (PH) must be submitted in the prescribed forma (see Annexure VI).
Children of Armed Forces (CAP), certificate in the prescribed form by those claiming reservation under that category (for more details, see Annexure VII).
NCC certificate for those who claim reservation under this category (for more details, see Annexure VIII).
Sport certificate(s), at the inter-district level and above for those who claim reservation under this category (for more details, see Annexure VIII).
