The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the admissions for the B.Ed program that will commence in 2023. The applicants can submit the forms through the online mode only at onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission. The B.Ed program makes use of self-instructional resources and information technology, as well as interactive personal contact programs. Admission to the B.Ed programme is made through an entrance test .
Fees for application: Candidates who wish to apply to the program are required be prepared to shell out Rs.1000 as application fee. If they submit the application via postal mail they will need be paid Rs.1050. The total program fees for IGNOU B.Ed is Rs.50,000.

Admission is made according to the score of the entrance test that is conducted by IGNOU across India. This Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program is available in English as well as Hindi medium. The duration of the program will be two years. The maximum time that is allowed to finish the program is five years.
Eligibility: Candidates should be able to demonstrate at least 50% marks, either in the Bachelor’s Degree or in the Master’s Degree in Social Sciencesor Commerceor Humanity. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or other qualification that is equivalent to it.
Only candidates whose scores have been declared and are qualified at the time of filling out the admission cum application form are qualified. Along with the other required certifications, candidates must be able to submit a Marksheet and Certificate that he has completed a teacher education course in face-to face method that is acknowledged by NCTE.
B.Ed Duration of the Program The minimum length of this B. Ed, the duration of the program runs for two consecutive years. However, the maximum duration allowed to complete the program is five years.
About the IGNOU BEd Program The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was created with the goal of developing awareness of how teaching is conducted on a secondary and senior secondary level for students teaching. It’s a way for students to think critically about their understanding of the world of education and to integrate the theory and practice in order to enhance the participation of students in the process of learning.
Admission: Admission will be determined by the score achieved in the entrance test administered by IGNOU across India. The candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with self-attested copies of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form. The original documents should be provided for verification later following receipt of an acceptance letters for admission.
Entrance Test takes place conducted on the date specified in the advertisement. Tickets for the hall will be posted on the IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in to be used for the Entrance Test.
Allowing candidates to take an entrance Test will not be considered to be acceptance of their eligibility to B.Ed. The admission decision to the program is contingent upon their ranking in the merit lists in the Entrance Test and also the submission of proof of eligibility on the deadline for admission to B.Ed. the programme , as well as original certificates and the programme fee.
There is a limit to the number of places for each PSC is restricted to 50 seats only. The university has the option to conduct the examination in different locations or alter the exam centre of the candidates, without giving any reason for it.
Programme Fee: Under consideration for Revision. Candidates who are interested in admission for the B.Ed. programme should not pay the cost together with their completed application form. The applicants will receive an additional email regarding their admission and the payment of the fee.
The program fee must be paid by means of Demand Draft made payable to IGNOU payable to the city in which you Regional Centre is situated. Make sure to write the name in bold letters as well as the program for where admission is sought, i.e., B.Ed. on the reverse on the Demand Draft so that you can ensure the correct credit of your fee on the account in question.

Candidates must also be an experienced in-service teacher with a certificate in elementary education or must complete an NCTE accredited teacher education course via face-to-face method. The reservation and relaxation of scores for the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD and other categories will be made according to the guidelines of Central Government, whichever is applicable.

If you are a first-time student you should select the programme available page on the home page on the Online Admission System and select the desired program. Carefully go through the program’s details including eligibility requirements and fee information, duration and more.
It is also recommended for download of your copy of the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University (Section 06) which is outlined in the prospectus. Also, you can read sections 1, 7, 8 12, and 13.

Make sure that you choose your UserName it should be between 8 and 16 characters.
If you choose your password, it should be alphanumeric and between 8 and sixteen characters in length.
